Thinking About Becoming A Diocesan Priest?
#priesthood2018 Thinking about being a priest? Considering the Diocesan priesthood? For more information or to book contact Fr. John Morrison on 01475720223 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
For most men who apply to become priests the attraction to ordained ministry has been with them for some time. Perhaps they have been slow to reveal this thought to anyone else and have mulled it over quietly in their own mind. You can visit the Priests for Scotland website here.
The Permanent Deacon's ministry includes a specific role of preaching and teaching, a degree of leadership in the organisation and oversight of specific activities, especially of charity in the Church, and in the liturgical role assigned to him by Canon Law. Visit the permenant diaconate website here.
People entering religious life today have the same basic motivation as the hundreds of thousands of religious men and women who have lived this life throughout the history of the Church. Religious life has undergone great changes but the call remains the same: to follow Christ as closely as possible. More information can be found here.
Currently our Diocese has two seminarians in Rome, two applicants in the on the pre-seminary course in Salamanca, and one on the inquirers' programme; one who will be ordained to the permenant diaconate in the autimn; and we know of some women presently discerning a vocation to the religious life. Please pray that more people answer His call.
