St Francis of Assisi Parish, Port Glasgow was founded on 21st September 1969, with the Church being founded on the fourth Sunday of Advent, Sunday 22nd December 1974, by Rt. Rev. Stephen McGill who, at the time, was the Bishop of the Paisley Diocese to which St Francis of Assisi belongs.

Holy Day of Obligation: 7pm (Vigil), 9:30am & 7pm

Weekdays: 9am-9:25am

Saturday: 10am-10:45am; 4:15pm-4:50

Our Associated Schools

Online Offertory and Gift Aid

At the start of the Covid pandemic, the Diocese of Paisley set up online giving to allow Parishioners to donate to their Parishes while unable to attend Mass in person. This can be done in a number of ways. 


Donate via Charities Trust this is useful for one off payments and can be done by clicking here.
