Welcome to our website
St Francis of Assisi Parish, Port Glasgow was founded on 21st September 1969, with the Church being founded on the fourth Sunday of Advent, Sunday 22nd December 1974, by Rt. Rev. Stephen McGill who, at the time, was the Bishop of the Paisley Diocese to which St Francis of Assisi belongs. 2019 marks 50 years of the parish.

HOLY WEEK AND SACRED PASCHAL TRIDUUM SCHEDULE
- Bookings must be made to attend ALL Holy Week and Triduum Masses. Booking will resume on Wednesday 24th March at 6pm.
- COVID restrictions will still be in place; please follow Government guidelines.
- Confessions will be available 30 minutes before each Mass.
CORONAVIRUS UPDATES
As announced by the Scottish Government, places of worship may reopen on Friday 26th March 2021.
The congregation will be capped at 50 and details regarding reserving a place will be released in due course. In the meantime, you can access St Francis' live stream by clicking the button at the top of the page.
The guidance for funerals is that a maximum of 20 people can attend, but wakes and post-funeral gatherings are prohibited.
For weddings, a maximum of 5 people can be present (bridal couple, celebrant, two witnesses).
Please pray for an end to this pandemic, for all those affected by Coronavirus and continue to pray for each other.
